Presented by AIRA and the Bankruptcy Bar Association - Southern District of Florida, this afternoon conference will feature two panels of financial and legal experts. The educational program will take place from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, followed by a networking cocktail reception.

- Patricia Redmond, Esq.—Stearns Weaver Miller Weissler Alhadeff & Sitterson, P.A. (Moderator)
Patricia is a Business Restructuring Shareholder of the firm, with a practice focused on Insolvency and Restructuring in the Miami office. She lectures locally and nationally on various aspects of bankruptcy, particularly on Chapter 11 issues, and is frequently quoted in The Miami Herald and other business publications.
- The Honorable John K. Olson—Bankruptcy Judge, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida, Ft. Lauderdale Division
John Karl Olson began his 14 year term as a United States Bankruptcy Judge with
duty station in Fort Lauderdale in February 2006. For the 18 years before that, he was a
shareholder in the Tampa office of Stearns Weaver Miller.
Judge Olson graduated from Harvard College magna cum laude in history. He
graduated from Boston College Law School (where he was on the law review) in 1975.
Judge Olson is a former Chair of the Business Law Section of The Florida Bar and
is currently Chair of the Abuse of the Bankruptcy Process Subcommittee of the Business
Bankruptcy Committee of the American Bar Association.

A Partner in the Business Finance & Restructuring group, Mindy concentrates her practice on business finance, debt restructurings, creditors' rights, commercial finance and real estate finance. In over 30 years of practice, Mindy has represented numerous lenders and borrowers in complex commercial finance transactions, including asset-based loans, mezzanine credit facilities and capital market transactions. She has represented sizeable high–visibility business entities, creditors' committees, lenders and other parties in numerous Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 proceedings and out–of–court restructurings.
- Linda Leali, Esq.—Linda Leali, P.A.
Linda Leali regularly represents debtors, unsecured creditors committees, strategic and financial investors in a wide variety of industries and market sectors, and has experience in mergers and acquisitions—having represented a number of sellers both in and out of court in a wide range of industries. A magna cum laude grad of University of Miami School of Law, she was with White & Case LLP from 2000–2012, rising to senior associate in the firm's Global Financial Restructuring and Insolvency Practice Group. In 2013, she started her own law firm in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.

Barry's national bankruptcy, insolvency and advisory practice specializes in forensic and investigative accounting of sophisticated white-collar crime, occupational fraud and abuse. He also provides expert witness reporting and testimony involving complex business litigation and quantification of economic damages, and services to high net worth individuals with significant domestic and international assets and business interests. Fiduciary assignments include Chapter 7 Panel Trustee, Chapter 11 Trustee, State Court Receiver, Court Examiner, and Financial Advisor to creditor committees. Barry also holds the designations CPA, PFS, ABV, CFE, and CFF.

Chad is recognized as one of the leading attorneys in South Florida in the areas of bankruptcy and reorganization. He has extensive experience in State and Federal courts, having represented debtors, trustees, committees, and creditors among many others. Notable cases over the years have included his representation of the bankruptcy trustees in the International Gold Bullion Exchange and First Fidelity Mortgage Fraud cases; the Chapter 11 reorganization of Commodore Cruise Lines and more recently his representation of the creditors' committees in Green Isle Partners resulting in a one hundred percent distribution to the unsecured creditors in the reorganization of the San Juan Ritz Carlton Hotel.
