Christopher M. Cahill advise businesses — including digital asset-involved businesses — on relationships with vendors, customers, and lenders, to maximize market share, return, and liquidity. For the past 23 years he has also represented debtors, creditors, lenders, purchasers, and others in chapter 11 cases huge and not-so-huge and corporate restructuring more generally, including workouts, loan forbearance, assignments for the benefit of creditors, and UCC Article 9 foreclosure sales.

Cahill is co-author of the annually updated treatise William Houston Brown, Lawrence Ahern & Christopher M. Cahill, The Law of Debtors and Creditors (West). From 2014 through 2022, he served as Executive Editor of the annually updated Jonathan P. Friedland et al., Commercial Bankruptcy Litigation (Thomson Reuters), and co-authored that treatise’s chapter on the use, sale, or lease of bankruptcy estate property. Cahill has also served on non-profit boards, including for Lawyers Land a Hand to Youth, which provides tutoring for grade school children from disadvantaged communities in Chicago, as well as for TUTA Theatre Company and for Baroque Band.

Finally, Cahill has several Ohio connections, including teaching school in Gambier and Ashland, his son Hansel being born in Columbus, and his University of Michigan Wolverines (Law, ’96) defeating the OSU Buckeyes last year.

Cahill is a member of the state bars of Illinois (active) and Ohio (inactive); and is admitted to practice law in the courts of Illinois and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois, Central District of Illinois, Eastern District of Michigan, Eastern District of Wisconsin, Southern District of Iowa, and the District of Colorado.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

Written cancellation for the conference or any excursions must be received by midnight on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 for a full refund less a $75 cancellation processing fee. No refunds will be granted after May 18, but substitutions will be allowed.
