Kimberly M. Melvin is a partner in the Washington, D.C. law firm of Wiley Rein LLP, where she is a co-chair of the firm’s insurance practice.  Ms. Melvin is also member of the PLUS Board of Trustees.  She regularly counsels professional liability carriers on both coverage and underlying liability issues and has particular expertise in D&O and fiduciary liability insurance, insurance bankruptcy issues and the mediation of large, complex professional liability claims.  Ms. Melvin has been listed by Chambers USA as one of "America's Leading Lawyers for Business" in Insurance since 2018.  In 2013, Ms. Melvin was named to Business Insurance magazine's list of "Women to Watch."  Ms. Melvin is a member of the Virginia and District of Columbia bars.

Kim represents insurers in connection with coverage issues related to a variety of professional liability lines of coverage, including liability policies issued to directors and officers, financial institutions, mutual funds, investment advisors, ERISA plans, rating agencies, insurance companies, insurance brokers, and lawyers. She has particular expertise regarding bankruptcy and insolvency issues arising in the insurance context as well as fiduciary liability matters. The Legal 500 US regularly recognizes Kim as a recommended lawyer in Insurance Law, noting clients find her “intelligent, responsive, and excellent with adversaries and mediators” (2017), and an “extremely responsive” (2015) “top attorney” (2016). Kim also serves as a member of the firm's two governance committees, the Executive Committee and the Management Committee.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

Written cancellation for the conference or any excursions must be received by midnight on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 for a full refund less a $75 cancellation processing fee. No refunds will be granted after May 18, but substitutions will be allowed.
