Senior Managing Director

Amir Agam is a Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting and is based in Los Angeles. He is the co-leader of FTI’s U.S. West Region Turnaround and Restructuring practice and has over 20 years of experience advising companies undergoing significant transitions. Mr. Agam has advised a wide array of companies, as well as their creditors and equity holders as these companies have executed substantial operational improvements; post-acquisition operational changes; finance, accounting, and FP&A structure re-alignment; liquidity management, sale or investment processes, and in and out of court restructurings.

He has served in interim management positions as an interim chief financial officer, a chief restructuring officer, and an interim chief executive officer.

Mr. Agam has been involved in theater company restructurings since the late 1990s and has been involved in four post-covid pandemic theater exhibitor restructurings.

Specific areas of Mr. Agam’s experience include business plan development and review; cash flow forecasting; cash management; development of accounting and finance function capabilities, identification and implementation of significant cost reductions; negotiation restructuring plans; bankruptcy planning and execution; obtaining financing; and business and asset sales.

Mr. Agam is a member of the Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Turnaround Management Association, and the Financial Lawyers Conference.

In 2015, Mr. Agam was recognized as one of the M&A Advisor’s 40 under 40 Emerging Leaders in the Service Professional Category. In 2020, Mr. Agam was recognized as a Restructuring & Insolvency Advisers by Who’s Who Legal.
