David Bart has over 30 years of experience assisting individuals, businesses and their counsel in complex  matters ranging from investigations and general consulting to commercial litigation. Assignments include business and strategic analysis, forensic investigation, operational assessments, restructuring, bankruptcy, workouts, and commercial litigation. His clients include public, private, and nonprofit/not-for-profit entities. He has provided financial and litigation consulting services and testimony involving business viability/feasibility, valuation, commercial damages, solvency analysis, fraudulent transfers, forensic accounting, and financial investigations. His engagements include matters in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, U.S. District Court and State Court as well as arbitration and mediation proceedings.

David’s areas of expertise include strategic planning, feasibility analysis, financial and economic analysis, investigative accounting, statistical analysis, and business valuation involving both profit and non-profit entities. His services have resulted in business and financial restructuring, development of business and strategic plans, successful negotiation of credit support with as well as successful litigation outcomes. He has provided services  to clients representing plaintiffs or defendants, and he has served in the role of litigation/post-confirmation trustee assignee for the benefit of creditors, post-closing arbitrator, and court appointed auditor.

David is Chairman of the ABI Litigation Trust Task Force and the primary author of the Practitioner’s Guide to Liquidation and Litigation Trusts. He also served on the advisory group, and was a co-author of, the Open Compliance & Ethics Group’s Practice Aid Internal Audit Guide: Evaluating a Compliance and Ethics Program. David is President-Elect of the AIRA, Chairman of the Technical Issues and Standards Committee, and Co-Editor of the AIRA Journal. He was the primary author of the AIRA’s Standards for Distressed Business Valuation.  David serves on conference planning committees for both the ABI and AIRA. David has published numerous articles and presentations and teaches seminars in his fields of expertise.
