Partner

David Nemecek is a corporate partner resident in the Los Angeles office and the New York office. Dave's practice focuses on representing private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, hedge funds, asset managers and alternative capital sources in complex financing transactions, including leveraged buyouts, liability management transactions, recapitalizations, restructurings and other special situation transactions.

Chambers USA has recommended Dave as a leading lawyer in banking and finance since 2014. According to the 2019 edition of Chambers, clients have said that “Dave is hands down the best lawyer I have ever worked with,” and “his strengths are his depth of knowledge, his response time and his ability to fight for the issues that actually matter.” In the 2018 edition of Chambers, Dave was called “a leading trailblazer in the terms folks are able to get” and a client noted that Dave is “so active, so he knows what’s going on the market.” According to the 2017 edition of Chambers, "the thing that sets him apart from other counsel is that he gets to the answer fast; he can quickly understand a business issue and come up with a solution." In prior editions of Chambers, clients noted that "whatever we give him will get done right." The National Law Journal named Dave to its 2019 list of “Finance, Banking & Capital Markets Trailblazers,” for his work on behalf of such clients as Neiman Marcus and PetSmart. The Legal 500 U.S. called out Dave as being "thorough, knowledgeable, responsive and deal-oriented," and the IFLR1000 noted him as “Highly Regarded.” Dave is designated a “Super Lawyer” by Southern California Super Lawyers. In 2017, he was named one of the “Top 40 Under 40” lawyers for the State of California by the Daily Journal.
