Daniel H. Reiss has specialized in the area of bankruptcy and insolvency for over twenty five years. Mr. Reiss is known for combining his skills as a seasoned bankruptcy lawyer with his business background, having worked at KPMG as a certified public accountant before pursuing a legal career. His practice has included representation of clients in industries including real estate, logistics, public utilities, healthcare, aviation, hospitality and general manufacturing. Mr. Reiss regularly represents debtors, creditor committees, secured creditors, bankruptcy trustees and buyers of distressed assets and companies. With respect to the issues to be discussed at this year’s AIRA conference, Mr. Reiss has represented seven creditors’ committees in recent chapter 11 cases which were precipitated by wage and hour litigation.
Having been honored multiple times as a “Super Lawyer” in a region-wide survey, Mr. Reiss is well-recognized as a leading practitioner. Mr. Reiss is a member of a number of professional organizations, including his membership on the Executive Committee the Beverly Hills Bar Association – Bankruptcy Section, the Turnaround Managers Association and the Financial Lawyers Conference. Mr. Reiss is also a frequent speaker before trade and legal groups and is a published author on bankruptcy issues in national publications. In 2015, Mr. Reiss spoke about bankruptcy issues relating to wage and hour and class action lawsuits at the 2015 Wage and Hour Conference for the California State Bar. Mr. Reiss’s articles on bankruptcy topics published in the National Law Journal include: “What's a Class Action Plaintiff To Do?,” “Bidders At Bankruptcy Auctions, Beware,” “Marshall Case Raises Issue Of Consent To Jurisdiction,” D&O Insurance Moves To Forefront Of Many Bankruptcy Cases,” and “When Cases In Two Bankruptcy Courts Clash.”

Written cancellation for the conference or any excursions must be received by midnight on Monday, May 13, 2019 for a full refund less a $75 cancellation processing fee. No refunds will be given after May 13, 2019; substitutions are allowed.
