  • Experience in assisting unsecured creditor committees and Chapter 7 and 11 trustees in analyzing debtor financial records. Includes review and examination of debtor historical financial statements, tax returns, and post-petition budgets for debtor-in-possession and cash collateral financing, as well as preparing various analyses to assist in identifying potential avoidance actions. Bankruptcy expertise in the following industries: legal services, shipping, healthcare services, healthcare/medical products, construction, real- estate, retail/apparel and food service/restaurants.
  • Assisted Chapter 7 Trustee in winding-down a former AmLaw top 100 law firm. Developed a strategy that helped facilitate claw-back settlements from over 150 partners. Also, prepared WARN analyses, financial statements for annual tax preparation, assisted in identifying and collecting accounts receivable, and provided analyses and documents for litigation support and expert testimony.
  • Supervised team in recovering over $30 million for the estate of a major international shipping company. Efforts included identifying recoverable assets from the books and records of 72 Debtors’ and preparing chapter 5 claims (insider and preference analyses). Additional responsibilities include preparing monthly operating reports, servicing document requests from the Trustee and Trustee’s counsel for litigation preparation.
  • Assisted the Plan Administrator in managing the wind-down of two well-known NYC hospitals. Implemented several asset disposition programs, prepared claim analyses, proposed waterfall analyses, and made distributions to multiple classes of creditors.
