•Emily Edwards is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Taxand, LLC in Atlanta specializing in state and local tax. Emily has almost 10 years of experience helping businesses navigate the complex landscape of multi-state tax issues and advising clients on various aspect of state and local tax planning.

•Emily has worked with clients across a variety of industries, including software, consumer retail, banking and manufacturing. She has also advised clients on the state tax impacts of restructuring transactions and bankruptcy proceedings and has experience managing tax claims for large corporate debtors during bankruptcy and post-emergence.

•Prior to joining A&M, Emily spent four years on the U.S. National Fencing Team. As a member of the Women’s Sabre squad, Emily represented the U.S. at national and international competitions.

•Emily earned a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University, a Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law, and a Master of Business administration from Georgia State University Robinson College of Business. She is a member of the Georgia Bar.
