Jennifer E. Mercer has more than 20 years of experience in restructuring communications. She specializes in bankruptcy, transaction and litigation communications, with a focus on employee communications, executive positioning, investor relations and longer-term reputation management.

Ms. Mercer joined FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications segment in 2023 to extend the geographic presence of the segment and restructuring team to the U.S. West Coast from Los Angeles. In her role, she focuses on providing comprehensive communications solutions for clients facing liquidity challenges, bankruptcy and other forms of financial distress.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Mercer held senior leadership positions at various reputable professional consulting firms. She was recognized as one of 2021’s “Top Women in Communication” by Ragan Communications and PR Daily. That same year, she was also featured as one of the “Top Women Dealmakers” by Global M&A Network and in 2020 she was named a “PR Person of the Year” by PR News.

Ms. Mercer is actively involved in the restructuring industry through organizations including the Turnaround Management Association (“TMA”) (member of its Global Board of Trustees and former president of the Southern California chapter), Credit Abuse Resistance Education (“CARE”) (board member) and the American Bankruptcy Institute.

Ms. Mercer earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, San Diego. She is a published author and frequent speaker on topics related to organizational change and crisis management.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

Written cancellation for the conference or any excursions must be received by midnight on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 for a full refund less a $150 cancellation processing fee. No refunds will be granted after May 17, 2023, but substitutions will be allowed.

National Registry of CPE Sponsors

"Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors" is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
