Scott Y. Stuart, Esq. is the chief executive officer of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA), headquartered in Chicago. TMA is a global nonprofit organization of nearly 10,000 turnaround and corporate renewal professionals. With 50+ chapters worldwide, TMA members are a professional community that strengthens the global economy by working with distressed companies to improve performance, manage disruption, restructure through insolvency proceedings, and preserve equity to drive overall results. TMA Global supports its members by providing networking, educational resources, and certification opportunities worldwide. During his tenure, Stuart has led domestic and international chapter growth, record member retention, sponsorship revenue growth, and expanded global education offerings. Under his leadership, Stuart has overseen important board reforms, including adding a Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Before joining TMA, Stuart was an industry-leading attorney with over 30 years of experience in restructuring, litigation, and distressed investment. He started his career with the United States Department of Justice with the Office of the United States Trustee. He has led law groups, acquisition models, and business development teams. Stuart headed the corporate restructuring group of Rivkin Radler LLP, was EVP and general counsel of TruFoods Systems, Inc., and headed national business development efforts for more than 10 years as the executive director of Donlin Recano. Before joining TMA, Stuart co-founded a groundbreaking legal-tech startup Esquify in the legal document review space. He has a proven track record of building, growing, and leading successful companies, from corporations to startups.

During the last 15 years, Stuart has held leadership and board positions with the American Bar Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, and New York Institute of Credit. He currently serves on the board of directors of Howard Brown Health, one of the nation's largest healthcare and research organizations primarily caring for the LGBTQ+ community, with resources deployed to support physical and mental health and social services. Previously, Stuart served on the board of Futures and Options, one of New York City's premier nonprofit educational organizations for high school students in underserved communities.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

Written cancellation for the conference or any excursions must be received by midnight on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 for a full refund less a $150 cancellation processing fee. No refunds will be granted after May 17, 2023, but substitutions will be allowed.

National Registry of CPE Sponsors

"Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors" is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.nasbaregistry.org/.
