Mr. Whaley is the Vice President of Finance, Principal Financial and Accounting Officer. Mr. Whaley joined Pernix Therapeutics in March 2015 and has more than 25 years of experience in Accounting and Finance roles mainly in the pharmaceutical sector. Prior to joining Pernix, Mr. Whaley was Vice President Finance for Alvogen, Inc, a Global Pharmaceutical Company from May 2011 until March 2015. Prior to Alvogen, Mr. Whaley served as Corporate Controller for ImClone Systems, a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing biologic medicines in the area of oncology, from January 2005 to May 2011. Prior to ImClone Systems, Mr. Whaley served in financial roles of increasing levels of responsibility in the public accounting, pharmaceutical, and telecommunications industries. Mr. Whaley is a Member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Whaley holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University Business School.
